Submission Guidelines
There is no fixed deadline. Submissions are accepted throughout the year.
However, articles related to current affairs and unfolding events should be submitted promptly to ensure relevance.
Submissions must be original and unpublished.
Do not send work that has been published elsewhere or is under consideration by another platform.
Ensure that all information is factually accurate.
Verify facts carefully and provide sources for all data and references.
Include a one-line author bio at the end of your article.
You may also mention your Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram handles, if you wish.
All submissions must be sent in Word format only (.doc/.docx).
PDF submissions will not be accepted.
Zero tolerance for plagiarism.
Any plagiarised content will result in permanent disqualification from publishing with us.
Each submission must include a written undertaking stating that the piece has not been submitted to any other journal, magazine, newspaper, or digital platform.
Attach a high-resolution photograph of the author with your submission.
Due to the high volume of submissions, only accepted contributors will be contacted.
If you do not hear from us within six business days, you may submit your work to other publications.
The editor’s decision is final.
Style Guidelines for Authors
Word Count
Reportage: 600–1200 words
Short Analysis: 1000–1500 words
Long-form / Explainers: 1500–2500 words
Headlines / Titles
Headlines must be crisp, precise, and tightly written
They should clearly capture the essence of the article, not function as generic sentences
Introductions
For feature articles:
Begin with a short pre-introduction before the main intro
This pre-intro may carry the byline
The intro must be italicised
The author’s name must be in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS (not italicised)
References
All references must be hyperlinked within the text
If no online source is available, use in-text citations
Language & Style
British spelling and grammar must be followed
(Quoted documents may retain original American spellings)
Non-English terms:
Italicise on first use
Provide English translation in parentheses or an endnote
Use the original term thereafter without translation
Avoid:
Archaic or colonial language
Sexist or prejudicial terms
Complex jargon and legalese
Use clear, accessible language suitable for general readers
Quotes
Avoid repetitive quotes expressing the same idea
Each quote must add new insight or perspective
Long quotes should be paraphrased
Grammatically incorrect quotes should be written in indirect speech
Dates
Format:
Month (word) + Date + Year
Example: January 26, 2020
If the year is current: January 26th this year
